Brief Intro...
NiViM (Nisarg Vidnyan Mandal) is a community-based voluntary organisation working on Environmental Education, Public Health & Hygiene, Science Popularization, Women Empowerment, Animal welfare and Sustainable Agriculture practices of Organic and Natural Farming. These are done through campaigns and the volunteers and activists dedicated to the cause of Nature Conservation with the popularization of science. The organisation consists of a team of young energetic teachers, researchers, nature lovers, field activists. Starting with these roots in local action, NiViM has worked on a number of local, divisional and state-wide national issues.
The organization was registered in 1992 at Gandhi district Wardha and has been working in the urban and rural (forest belt) area of Nagpur, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal and Wardha district of Vidarbha.

Aim & Objectives

To develop awareness on nature education and protection of natural resources, wildlife, stray and threatened animals among students, youth and common masses of rural & urban society and to develop the relevant action plan.

Promoting the concept of sanitation to popularize a Swachhch Bharat Mission, organic and sustainable agriculture with water harvesting methodology and watershed development and management in tribal and forest dwellers' community.

Formation of a cadre of active workers consisting of students, youths, farmers and women for direct field actions towards achieving a robust public health system, protect wildlife, conserve water, plantation to maintain forest cover and all-natural resources for sustainable development with primary hygiene and health of community.

Lying the path for a better livelihood for tribal in rural areas, forest dwellers and farmers through SHG (Self Help Group) and Women Empowerment training on NTFP, agricultural produce and village-based business to generate self-employment.

Research and Study project to inculcate a culture of nature conservation, traditional health education and popularization of scientific attitude as a 'role model' for sustainable development of the nation through coming generation.
